Healty Prostate

The prostate is a gland the size of a walnut and its function is to produce a fluid that helps carry sperm from the body. Since the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the body), through the prostate, is also involved in the control of urine.

Prostate cancer affects one in six men and is the second leading cause of cancer death in men. It tends to develop in men over fifty years, although it affects many young people, too. This is often slow growing and slow-growing cancer that has few or no symptoms. Some symptoms are: blood in urine, painful urination, frequent urination, increased urination at night, or who have difficulty initiating or maintaining a steady flow of urine.

Nobody really knows what causes prostate cancer, but several factors such as age, genetics, lifestyle and increased risk of a drug. Since there is no definitive cause, there is no known way to prevent. However, doctors recommend adapting a healthier lifestyle and prostate cancer, the power, since they play a vital role in reducing the risk of developing prostate cancer. An ideal diet for a healthy prostate means:

Reducing the amount of milk consumed. It is shown that men who ate the most dairy products have increased risk of prostate cancer is recommended to cut the milk, cheese and yogurt.

Drink green tea. One study suggested that the active substances called polyphones in green tea reduces prostate cancer progression. Take the capsules of green tea or tea consumption itself can be helpful.

Limit alcohol. Although there is no evidence that alcohol increases the risk of prostate cancer, liquids such as alcohol, coffee and soda are known to irritate the prostate.

Other foods to avoid are fatty meats, processed foods (canned, packaged or stored goods), foods high in sodium / salt, too, and hydrogenated oils.
